Rejected Star Wars Products are Actually Awesome
Category : Toys, TV, Movies, and Music
Some concept drawings of Star Wars merchandise ideas that were rejected (yes, they do actually reject some Star Wars products) have recently hit the internet, prompting thousands of fans to reply ” but I want one of those!”
The product concepts range from an “AT-AT Walker Chair Caddy” to a Jabba the Hut beanbag, and Princess Leia’s famous Danish pastry hairdo had been designed as a pair of headphones. Personally, I just love the “Death Star Grill” – an outdoor grill shaped like the Death Star with a sliding top that comes with the following information written on the concept artwork:
Use the awesome power of the galaxy’s most fearsome battlestation to send burning fear into rebel scum burgers and franks!
I didn’t know burgers could be considered part of the “rebel scum”, but there you are – perhaps everyone who works on the Death Star is vegetarian? Check out more rejected designs over on Tumblr and don’t forget to comment and tell us which ones are your favourites; mine are the Death Star Dartboard, Cloud City Desklamp and Han Solo in Carbonite Mini-Fridge.

Seriously? If you get the AT-AT Walker Chair Caddy, you’ve got to have the whole room set up, so you’d also need the Han Solo Carbonite Mini-Fridge, Death Star Dartboard, and Galactic Foosball table. Add the R2-D2 projector (the real product, with an actual video projector), and you can have a great Star Wars themed rec room!
OH. MY. GADS do we need a Death Star Grill. I would never have to buy my husband another present again for the next five years. Possibly.
